Porsche Tucson is very proud to present this unique 1975 911 Carrera Targa #9115410040 now fitted with a Type M64/23 naturally aspirated 3.6L air cooled flat six from a 1998 993 911 Carrera (Designated #64W01648) . Finished in Copper Bronze Metallic (#432) over tan interior, it now boasts black seats from a 964 911 adorned with silver “Carrera” side stripes and 15 in Fuchs wheels with stopping power provided by 930 turbo brakes and calipers. Originally powered by a 2.7L flat six, it has been substantially upgraded to its new power plant. This car was originally a California car and service records date back to 1984 and its second owner mutinously had it serviced at Camissas Motor Cars in Burlingame California who owned it for the next 15 years. Its third owner then purchased the car in late 2001 and underwent an extensive and fully documented engine swap done in 2004. With an estimated 22k on the engine at the time, the swap was performed by Dr. Steve Timmins of Porsche specialists Instant G performance out of Newark, Delaware in late summer of 2004 while the body of the vehicle had 50k miles. The swap included numerous performance upgrades to the engine which includes but was not limited to an Instant G “Happy Crab” muffler and resonator, upgraded oil lines and oil cooler fans from Elephant Racing, an updated clutch assembly and flywheel for the 3.6 conversation, a re-enforced cross member, and Bosch DME engine management with a Cyntex performance chip. This car was also dyno tested and reportedly made 253 WHP and 229 lb feet of torque sent to the rear wheels via its original type 915 five speed manual gearbox and an aftermarket WEVO shifter. Other quality of life improvements this car has had done are a modernized Porsche Classic Communication Management head unit with a JL e6450 amplifer and Blaupunkt speakers, a new Targa top with new window seals, a Blaze Cut fire security system, and a Python security alarm.
